Growing Tips for Containers

• Make sure the pots have adequate drainage
• Use 3/4 organic potting soil mixed with 1/4 worm castings such as WormGold Plus (to increase resistance to insect infestations) or a potting soil with a time-release fertilizer such as Kellogg's Champion's Blend
• Allow a 2 inch space between the top of the pot and the top of the soil
• Add 1/2 layer of mulch to retain moisture and to protect the roots from temperature fluctuations
• Avoid transplant shock by using a product with indolebutyric acid such as Green Light's Root Stimulator
